I founded NCW to disrupt narrow beauty standards that often overlook tighter, thicker textures. Embracing my natural coils and learning how to care for them inspired me to share my journey and create a world that celebrates afro, kinky, and zig-zag textures.From my start as a “basement braid stylist,” this book is my way of giving back to my community, raising awareness, and celebrating every coily, kinky, and afro-haired individual.
